About Columbus Arts Fest in Place

We may be socially distanced but we still can be virtually together. The 2020 Columbus Arts Festival live event was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In lieu of the live event, the Columbus Arts Fest in Place will celebrate the Arts Fest we know and love, through digital means. During the Columbus Arts Fest in Place, June 12-14, you can shop for artwork online directly from 2020 Arts Fest artists, explore our Big Local artists and performers and participate in our Arts Fest Chalk Challenge.

The Columbus Arts Festival in Place includes a new browsable gallery of local and national visual artists, interviews with local musicians and links to past performances, playlists of past and 2020 Festival performers, shared volunteer and community memories, art collections from Arts Fest patrons, and an at-home Arts Fest Chalk Challenge.

In what would have been the 59th year, the Festival in Place will also be a reflection on festivals past and a look forward to the 2021 event. Through the website and social media channels, the festival will also highlight the process of producing the event from the perspective of festival staff, committee chairs, volunteers and community members.

For full details see our press release.

The 2021 Columbus Arts Festival will be held along Columbus’ beautiful downtown Riverfront on June 11, 12 & 13.

No public money funds the Columbus Arts Festival. We hope you will patronize Festival artists—and remember the Festival’s many generous sponsors! These businesses and individuals make it possible for the Greater Columbus Arts Council to bring you this free event each year.
